Falcone Sport - help/support required in the Cotswolds area

I’ve recently acquired a Falcone Sport which I’ve been working through sorting oil leaks, rebuilding the carb, electrics etc. etc.
It was owned by a Club member recently, I believe, but appears a ‘little’ neglected!
It starts easily but:
Compression lever suddenly not consistent on start (not always any resistance on kick over)
Compression lever doesn’t stop the bike
Not convinced mechanical noises are correct (treading very carefully)
Oil pumping nice and clean

Need to find a local expert or someone with a Falcone with which to compare!

All help much appreciated.

do you recall overtaking a knackered Nissan Micra going up past Andoversford , if so I got a few nice pictures of you ? not sure how to post them on here

Thank you… that’s likely to be Derek in Cheltenham.
If it had been an old Alfa trying to overtake a Micra along the A40 then yes but the Falcone isn’t quite roadworthy yet. But please post a pic if you can.
