My review was of my bike and my experience, not a dig at anyone else buying the bike, you seem to have taken it a little personally, Not sure what your last sentance is all about, some how suggesting I hadn’t done due dilligence, well circumstances changed, two dealers nearest to me stopped working with Guzzi ( Piaggio ) and the service costs would have been tolerable for a bike I enjoyed. I know you don’t care where it was built and good for you, but I do, or did
hardly a surprise. phrases like “Guzzi charm ( see garbage)” are bound to provoke a response in a single brand forum where most are passionate about their rides. sorry it didn’t work out for you. hope your new ride brings you joy.

Haha. I wasn’t sure, but one of the many qualities of Guzzi riders is that they are, on the whole, pretty tolerant (I think).
A bit of gentle, gentlemanly “baiting” is fine, in General banter, provided that it is “guzzi centric” and the forum rules are followed. All good.
It is in the general banter section, so all good

One thing is for sure: buy any new bike and a fair bit of it will be made in China… among other countries. Many BMW engines - the entire thing, have been built in China over the last two decades. Do the owners worry they aren’t Bavarian? Who knows? It’s a global economy so expecting an entire machine to be made at one plant… good look these days.
But ultimately if you aren’t happy move on, as the OP has, and use it as a learning experience.
I know this is extremely childish, but I do enjoy baiting dyed-in-the-wool Harley owners about their all-American bike. I know I shouldn’t, but sometimes it gets too much to resist. The best responses come from those owners who figure out what’s going on and then pick up the ball and run with it. I had a really long and funny back-and-forth with a Harley owner in Dublin and another in County Offaly; eventually we gave up because we ran out of stupid things to say.
I used to work in automotive chassis development and worked with several Chinese manufacturers and to be honest, these days theyre no better or worse than any other country for manufacturing quality. I think id rather have Chinese electrics than old Lucas stuff.
As a Harley owner also i quite like mocking both my self and the brand (a bit)
best tool is the number plate slogan- some of my most memorable are
Harley -on my sportster 1973 xlch " only a penguins arse is cooler!"
and as joke on my softail (that has made other owners chuckle!) Hardly-Movinson!
And on my convert guzzi -Two speed auto transmission 1ST DEAD SLOW!- 2ND STOP!
