any one know an easy way to install the internal circlip without ripping the gaiter or losing an eye ?

no use its just a round wire spring ??
in the manual it just says insert it, butits way to tough to hold closed and slip into the recess
i have just moved it to the bench and used four screws and washers to fix it down to see if that helps

managed to do it
I screwed the swing arm to the bench using woodscrews and washers then somehow managed to wiggle it in and locate it firmly i put soem silicon grease round the lip to stop water getting in
what a weird design !!!
