I’m replacing the fork springs on my 2008 V7 classic (non adjust forks) with Hagon ones and renewing fork seals and dust covers at the same time. Do I need any special tools (assume fork seal driver) and are there any tips to follow?
Will use 5w fork oil and 150mm air gap as advised by Hagon.
I changed my springs for the Hagon Progessives. If you really don’t need to replace the seals then it’s just a case of jacking the front up, removing the top plugs, measuring the level of oil from the top of the stantion and noting it. Drop the jack till you can get the spacer and springs out. Suck out as much of the oil as you can and replace the new springs and spacer. Jack up till the wheel is free and top up the oil with 5 weight, not the original 7.5. Replace the plugs, job done. A vast improvement on the front suspension.

Information: this bush is found in several mid 2000s Aprilia, Derbi, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, Gilera, Piaggio, (part numbers: 000305258610, 305258610, AP8123665) all have been replaced by Aprilia part 599629. As it was so common you may find New Old Stock on ebay?
Try looking on ebay for pyramid fork bushes, got a set for my sport
