Hi Everyone.
Has anybody fitted successfully the above and if so, please tell what and where from?
I’m not aware of any after market electonic ignition system for a Galletto, I guess if you are inventive, you could manufacture something if you can rig up a suitable trigger system and use a generic single cylinder 4 stroke system control box.
Thank you Don. I agree that a ready to use system is proving difficult so have been doing as you suggest. The single cylinder systems on ebay must be a good starting system once I’ve found someone who knows what to do!
Thank you for your interest, what do you have in your stable?
Regards, Hugh.
Hi Hugh
I am not that familiar with the Galletto, a mate of mine in the local VMCC Taverners has one. I am fascinated by his comment that the crank only has one bearing and the other side is free floating. Guzzi certainly come up with some inovative ideas. The standard ignition set up on my Stornello Turismo works fine so I haven’t felt the need to change it. I did fit an off the shelf Vape electronic ignition to my Stornello Scrambler.
I have a few bikes in the garage, a couple of Guzzi Stornello’s, a 250 Airone, a 1978 Spada, a California 3 and a 1988 Harris T140 Bonneville, that was made down in Devon after Meriden closed its doors.
Thanks Don, but your quote re, ‘a mate of mine…’, the subject matter is at odds with Guzzipedia!
