Thanks in advance,

Hi Paul,
Iām 5ā6ā tall and whilst it doesnāt block all the wind, it gives me the quietest, least turbulent airflow of any screen Iāve ever experienced when set about half way up the range of adjustment.
It does give me issues in winter, as the screen doesnāt keep the road muck off my visor at all, so I end up wiping my visor very, very frequently. For winter Iām exploring aftermarket options like the Powerbronze, Puig, Givi and CalSci screens, just for winter use to keep the muck off the visor. The Guzzi touring screen will be back on my bike as soon as Spring comes round.
Hi Manalishi,
Thatās great, thanks for taking the time to upload the photo and your recommendation. I think iāll probably order one and see how it goes. Iām 5ā 10" and the normal screen doesnāt seem to be much different up or down, if anything Iād say itās slightly better down. However my son whoās 6ā 2" says itās great in the up position for him.
Cheers,
Paul
Paul, in my opinion screens are not only very āpersonalā (what you perceive works for you) but also situational (speed, wind direction and speed etc).
The best āguideā to choosing the right screen size that Iāve found is on this USA screen makers website.
CalSci make three (4?) sizes of Mandello screens for $185 or more, plus $90 postage, plus import duties, plus 20% VAT on the total of these. The low āSportā screen is about 540mm tall. Their screens are 4.5mm thick and tested with a .22 rifle plus thousands of miles riding to refine the screens aerodynamicsā¦.they claim. Theyāre USA Dept of Transport approved.
Puigās after market Touring screen is 550mm tall, 4mm thick, tested to German TUV Homolgation standards. It costs cĀ£100 plus postage.
Givi do a very large touring screen which is not homolgated for riding in German roads (thin acrylic screen MAY be the reason, not sure).
Powerbronze do three sizes of screen, the largest about 560mm I think, but only 3mm thick and no mention of testing or homolgation that Iāve found so far.
I hope this helps.
Hi Manalishi,
Thanks again for the info, itās very much appreciated and as a result Iāve been doing some more digging. Iām leaning towards the MRA Touring Screen which doesnāt look to large and suits the lines of the Mandello. Since it isnāt too expensive I think Iāll give it a go and see what it looks and feels like. Iāll order the smoke grey simliar to whatās already on.
Iāll pop some photos one here when I fit it, in case anyone is interested.
Kind regards,
Paul
Hi All,
The new larger MRA screen arrived this week and I fitted it this afternoon. This one is the smoked grey.
Iām really pleased with the overall look, the lines suit the bike really well, I prefer it to the original but thatās always a matter of personal taste. I havenāt tried it on the road yet but Iāll let you you know.
Here are the before and afters:
Cheers,
Paul
