Halcyon 820 bar end mirrors

Apologies if this
Has been asked many times, I have tried searching both here and on line but I’m not the best computer savvy.
My bike is a V7 850 special, I quite fancy putting the above mirrors on my bike. I’d look at MG originals from the Stone Special Edition but MG as far as I can see only do black I’d want chrome.
Has anyone done this ? If so can the bar inserts be removed without damage to bars and or inserts.
Again apologies if this is a repeat enquiry.

Bar inserts are sometimes ‘‘weighted’’ to damp vibration, remove them and see if it makes a difference before buying mirrors

Thank you for your reply, it might become a winter project after more research . It might just get put on the back burner as more trouble than it’s worth. :+1:t2:

The V7 850 Special bar end weights are quite heavy, if you’ve taken them off and felt the weight, that may just be because of what they are (biggish lumps of solid chomed steel), or there is a more practical reason!

Mike H thanks for your reply,
I think I’ve all but given up on the idea.

After taking off the bar end weight and looking at the internal fixing I think i’d end up damaging something attempting to get it out.

There is an option that fixes by using the 6mm bolt making an easy swap from Kiwav, Stark chrome made in Taiwan , quality looks good quality but more than twice the price of Halcyon and don’t look as retro.

I’ll just have to keep my elbows in.

I believe you can buy the mirrors with different fixing options and one of them sounds like a bolt in one - it is an extra.

That’s what I’ve always done. :grinning:

Yes Brian correct.
Halcyon Triumph Bonneville 2017 on fitment option with 6mm bolt is direct swap for existing bar end weights which also have the 6mm bolt.
