This shows the top yoke now fitted to my LM1. I do not want to use clip-ons, so this yoke just needs a suitable handlebar. Does anyone recognise the model it is from or or can anyone suggest a suitable set of pre-drilled bars to retain the original switchgear and help out my aging back that is long past lying on the tank! The gap between the insides of the clamps is approximately 50mm.
It has now been suggested to me the yoke is from a V65. Can someone show me the bars fitted on this bike? Thanks.
You will find the parts book shows a clamp that bolts down to the top yoke to secure the bars. Maybe Guzzibits or Nick’s Euro Parts or Reboot could supply you with one?
Here’s a link to the parts book, Drawing 16.
Don, is it not item 41 on page 09? page 16 is just the bars.
If it is, then I think the large clamp might look out of place on a Le Mans 1
I managed to get a like-new pair of bars for my 750T from Gutsibits. The OEM Guzzi part number for them is GU30600310. These are fairly low rise compared to what you might have been looking at in the previous answers…..
They look like this on my bike:
Looking at the parts book again, drawing 16 (page C11) - near the start actually shows 2 small alloy clamps (part 35) and the larger plate is actually just a plastic decorative cover plate so is not needed. The clamps seem to be pretty common across the Guzzi range, Gutsibits suggest it is used on G5, Cali 2, Cali 3, T3, T4, T5, Spada ALL, V35 3, V35C, V50C, V65C, 750 SP and probably a lot more.
Sorry Don, I didn’t see the clamps item 35 only the plate item 46!
Must try harder!
Looking at your top yoke Steve, the seats for the clamps appear to be stepped (height wise) when comparing front to back, but looking at the parts diagram they appear level. Is this the case? If so the clamps might not suit your top yoke.
Thanks. I have clamps for it. It was just bars I needed. I have now ordered a pair. Fingers crossed.
