hello all - greetings from Worcester - California

Bought a petrol camping stove for the TT from ebay -(you cant take gas canisters on aeroplanes) ended up with a lead to old California 1100 I which had been sat in a back yard under a cover for over 10 years … made an offer and now the owner of a fairly decent machine with a bit of effort will make a rideable, tidyish, second bike … Ebay - its a dangerous place and should have warnings for all those who enter

Hello and welcome. :grin::+1:
And congrats.

Hi well done own a Cali vintage amongst others regards Roger Gloucester

Great bike, especially for riding in California.

Thanks for the welcome :grinning:… All fuel pipes rock solid and split in places, also fuel pump jammed up / inoperable - same Bosch fuel pump used on several cars and at a fraction of the cost of a Guzzi part via ebay…Auto sol / dremell with fine sander + polisher , angle grinder with wire brush attachment have now attacked the bike - done one side only as it parked against a wall - sure looks funny . I do hope the electronics ok - when you see the size of the ECU in its “biscuit tin” by the back seat you realize how much things have advanced…All dash board lights up correctly so fingers crossed the electronics play ball and fire up the bike when requested !
