En route to Longtown in Cumbria today I popped into Mike Barry’s motorcycle museum at Scaleby Hill. Mike still races at the IoM TT each year and he has amassed a cracking collection of vintage bikes. Amongst these is a 1962 Guzzi Lodola 235cc which has been altered by a previous owner per the photo below, by drilling holes and adding a bit to the ‘dashboard’ (and drilling a hole in the front brake drum to put a bicycle speedo on too…according to Mike). Mike would like to restore it to original, but doesn’t know where to get the parts. Can anyone help or point him in the right direction please? ….his number is 07808 867419.

There are no great sources of spares for the older Italian singles in this country. He might get lucky and come across a few occasional spares on eBay, but they are few and far between. A few enthusiasts hold a few stocks around the country.
The alternative is to source parts fom Italy, either someone like Guzzi Retro
Or the Italian small ads like Subito.
