Hi all,
Anyone got a recommendation for accommodation in Belgium within approx 100 miles of Calais? Planning our trip to the Hartz mountains in June & returning along Brussels, Ghent, Bruges motorway & looking for a good overnight stop that doesn’t cost an arm & leg.

I always stay in F1 Hotels
you get a room with either twin beds, or a double bed and single above, television and sink, then ample showers and toilets ( self cleaning) in the corridors, for about 3.5 Euro extra you can have a continental breakfast
does me, I shall be using one in Verdun Next month
there are a couple just on the French Border I think
I’ve used this place a couple of times, maybe around 90 Euro the night for two - depending on what day of the week.

Ivan’s place was always fun, but I think he’s pretty much given up providing accommodation now.
I stayed at this place once and it was pretty good. It is only a mile or two off the E40, just next to the Westrem services. It is quiet and clean and with plenty of parking.
We stayed at this hotel for the Ronde Van Vlaanderen cycle race at the start of the month. Lovely quiet village, nice small hotel with friendly staff and another nice bar next to the church across the road.
Just south of Ghent, not far from Bruges.
