Hello. I recently bought a 2021 V85 TT (four previous owners) and would like to identify which seat the bike came with out of the four options:
Low Comfort
Standard Original
Standard Comfort
High Comfort
I found the part numbers for each online however the seat does not have a part number on it. Does anyone know how to distinguish each seat from the way it looks or some other way?
The reason I ask is I would ideally like the high comfort seat (but would be slightly silly to buy one if I unknowingly already had one if that makes sense).
The “low comfort” is on top. It has a suedesque finish on the seat and hump and grey stitching on the top and side. The standard has red stitching on the side.
PS ignore the profile of the standard, I have re-upholstered it to get a narrower stand-over and more padding for my pillion
Looks like Moto Guzzi use the same rationale as BMW regarding parts numbers on seat bases , on BMW’s the part number on the seat base is the part number not for the full seat assembly BUT instead the actual seat base as it is logically shared across the full range with only changes in foam density ,depth and the seat cover. Makes it an utter PITA as part number for the full seat is on a paper sticker which when damp either falls off or the ink runs
Thanks for the pic which is helpful. Mine also has grey stitching and the mesh like top which isn’t on the standard (non-comfort) so it confirms that it is a comfort seat.
It’s unclear whether it is the the low, standard or high so will pop down to MG Brighton to see if I can compare with another.
If anyone happens to read this and has a high comfort seat for sale in good condition, please reach out as I could be looking soon.
