Jobs to do on a second hand purchase.

I’ve recently bought an 1980’s Le Mans enginged T3 California attached to a sidecar, and want to go through a few preventative maintenance measures.
I’ve had it running after the plugs were renewed and fuel replaced. Oils have been replaced too.
My question is whether it would be wise to go through a cylinder head retorquing before checking the valves for clearance even though they’re clattering away indicating that they’re not too tight?

Personally, I wouldn’t disturb it unless you have particular suspicions or the previous owner mentioned that the top end had recently been apart.

Hi I would clean the carbs, check and lube the UJ/and its support bearing and pop the rear wheel off and check the rear drive box and give it a lube on the splines i assume your going to change the fluids, engine oil , gear oil, rear-drive oil? If it was me I would also change the brake fluids and check the pads and calipers! are the tyres in good nick and what age are they? hope it goes well!.
