Think of all the times you’ve bought something and it was OK, law of averages says you have to get a duff one occasionally. Actually it’s amazing it’s not more often. Just a shame it had Jmee going around in circles, that’s what you get for blindly assuming a new item should be OK.

As stated before I got a new master cyclinder for my Cali EV a few weeks back from the same dealer as Jmee54 and I did have to spend some time before it worked right, but it is fine now,in order to start the fluid moving I did open up the nipple a bit more than I have needed to in the past, but that and removing the whole master cyclinder-hose -and calipier off the bike and setting it up on a clear worktop did help.
