Lario heart transplant

How much of the motor is it, by the way?

However much you want. Once I have rebuilt the Lario engine, that will go back in the bike and so long as it works OK, then the whole thing will be spare.New clutch plate has arrived today. I assume it is obvious which way round it goes once I offer it up. Anyone got a definite answer.

Thanks! I may want the whole unit. If I can afford it! Or the v motor block alone. Will ponder on that. I don’t think there is a right or wrong way for the friction plate, from what I recall last time I fitted one.

I’ve got me an 18" front wheel off a Targa and speedo drive and mudguard. Anyone forsee any problems in replacing the 16inch front wheel for an 18?

Mudguard mounting holes may be only issue! Hopefully all spacers and the wheel spindle are interchangeable. Caliper mounts should be the same.

This has the mudguard that attaches to a fork brace bolted down from the top so should be Ok so long as the forks are the same spacing. Hopefully!

Fork spacing and head stock size / yoak shaftwas differnt on 16" and 18" t5 so not sure on lario…

I gave up with converting my old t5 :frowning:

Hmmm…yes! Could be trickier than first thought. Maybe!

Nothing ever easy with that era of 16" machines

If the fork widths are different, I should be able to fit the old fork brace and the new larger mudguard to suit the 18 inch wheel.

if the fork widths different the wheel/disk spacing will also be different

i got as far as narrowing a spada II front wheel disk mounts to suite the narrow t5 forks

I’m sure a few extra washers will take care of that
