Last rideout of the year, Sunday 19 October

Sunday’s ride out – the last of the year – will take the form of a Run to the Sun, moor to sea, finishing at a stunning beachside venue for late breakfast/early lunch, hopefully in glorious sunshine. Meet at the Fox Tor Café in Princetown at 10 am for the usual 10:30 start – with a nod to the time of year and the shortened daylight hours we should be done and dusted by midday. I’ve had a word with the rain gods and the route has been chosen carefully with respect to Sunday’s incoming rainband. Despite this, however, it’s unlikely we will be able to avoid the wet stuff completely, so please tog up appropriately. We’d love to see as many as possible – members and non-members, Guzzis and lesser marques – for the season finale. So ignore those gathering rain clouds, fire up the old goose, and we’ll see you on Sunday!

Heads up, guys: the weather gods obviously weren’t listening, and the incoming cold front is pretty much centred over our projected meeting place tomorrow. So after a quick conflab with Scotty, we’ve decided to cancel the run, and substitute a meet for coffee/afternoon tea/whatever for whoever fancies it at the Creek’s End, Kingsbridge quay, from 14:30 (half past two in old money). No judgement will be levied on those who don’t turn up – take a look out the window and make your own decision – but a warm welcome awaits anyone who makes it for our last-of-the-year in Kingsbridge. Buona fortuna!

Sorry Chaps, I’m away at the moment with the missus, but hope to see you again soon.
