Hi,
The rear rubber strap with the square metal end has pulled out from under the battery tray somewhere.
Can you please tell me what it fixes to? Not sure if I’m looking for a hook or something.

this is a sunday job. make a mug of tea…
lift the battery out. grab the little torch. if memory serves there is a little “hooked tab” at the rear of the battery tray. much like the artfully hidden tab that secures the tank securing strap on tonti framed models.

If I remember rightly, you have to unbolt the battery bottom plate from the frame. I think there’s a tab on it that the bottom wire loop of the strap hooks onto and bolting it down holds it captive. Which makes me wonder how yours has come adrift. Perhaps it was modified by a previous owner, by bending the tab so the strap can be replaced without unbolting the tray ?
Or maybe my memory has gone soft.
