lemans mk11 jetting or bigger carb

According to pix I’ve found it should have separate pick-up sensors ~ unless anyone knows differently!

Else if wasted spark, it means the spark for left cyl. occurs halfway through the right cyl.s inlet stroke. In other words, right cyl. spark plug goes off while same cyl. is still sucking fuel in. Hence too much enthusiastic pumpy-squirty with the throttle while starting can cause a backfire!

I see, where you are going , I disabled the pumpers and didn’t notice any difference, so not too much fuel going in. Im thinking that she warms well with choke so maybe she takes a while to get over cold starts ( no problem on warm starts) and a choke lever somewhere would help (no room on my bars though) regards russ

I noticed the profile of the flip up plastic thingy has a profile which is bound to slide shut as it has rounded end with a slope less than 90 degrees, with a little bit of work with a file the original flip up plastic thingy was modified to keep the rounded bit but reverse the angle of the other bit ,so when I open it it sits back of its own accord on the new surface, works pretty good so far regards russ

I’m sure they stay up when they’re new but the rounded corner gets worn away with use.Â

The new lever top choke  plungers I bought recently stay up no problem.Â

yes Mike, how do you manage with the right hand choke? can you get to it? regards russ

Can get to it, sure.

Hi Russell,
Did you ever get to the bottom of your jetting issues? if so I would be very interested in hearing the result, as I am soon to be going down the same road as you with the 950 conversion on my le mans  .
cheers Chris.
