I’m trying to establish the correct lower fairing bottom brackets for my rebuild. The bike never came with the side fairings. From what I can see, there are two main types - fibreglass and abs type plastic (which I have) I have a bracket from a 1000SP and another and they are slightly different but both on the same principle. Does someone have a picture of what they think is the correct lower bracket?

Attached is the bracket that I have and for the life of me, I’m trying to understand it’s fitment - if it is correct!!
These fit between a gearbox mounting stud/nut and the bottom of the fairing
There are R and L handed versions parts 28 and 29 on this picture
Almost certainly the same part as on an SP1000 as the lower fairings are identical

Thanks Russell. As soon as I saw the orientation of the bracket I knew where I was going wrong. LHS fairing now in place and just need to sort the choke lever orientation and real progress has been made. I have the other bracket, so it should be plain sailing from now on.

There should also be a bracket on each side from the rocker covers to the top section of the fairing.
Thanks. I have those and also the front bar.
The bike is nearing completion now…

The choke lever fits on the rear top left rocker cover screw so it is just behind the lower fairing.
