LM2 won't hold idle

Hi all.

Thinking of buying LM2, seems to run OK but won’t hold an idle. Even when warm, just dies. The bike has stood for a couple of years.

Any ideas?

Could this be a blocked jet somewhere?

Or even misadjusted idle screw?

Thanks.

Possibly just needs the idle screws winding in a bit or more likely to be blocked pilot jet circuit.

Difficult to warm these up in the back garden / driveway, I usually found I had to ride it a few miles before it was properly hot and would idle. That’s not to say carbs don’t want cleaning and fettling.

Hi Mike

No, this was after a good few miles. The fact that it would idle after a fashion on the choke leads me to agree with Don’s suggestion - blocked pilot jet or mis set throttle stop screws.

Carbs could probably do with a strip and clean out

OK then!
