Just bought a Breva 1100, but can’t reach the ground. I used to have a Breva 750 and that was fine.
I have sourced a lower seat and can drop the front end, but how can I lower the back?
Some pictures show there are dog-bones, but I can’t find a supplier who does them for Guzzis.
Any advice welcomed…
You can get a shortened rear monoshock (not a cheap option tbh), saw one on ebay a while ago.
Yes, only £850. I was hoping to avoid that… I have ordered a Hyperpro spring. claims 20mm extra droop. Hopefully with the lower seat I will at least be able to reach the ground.
I seem to remember that there were lowering dog bones available back in the day when I had my 1200 but they were only US made I think. It might be worth trying a search in Italy or Germany as they are bigger markets for the Guzzis?

Haven’t worn those since the early 70s.
Used hyperpro on my v85 and it worked exactly as I wanted. Although the side stand needed shortening to match.

I bought a SP-MG11-SSB008, which seemed to be the only option, but it turns out that it makes the bike taller than the standard shock.
Hyperpro website says they don’t have any products for lowering a Breva.
AI is a bit flaky at the best of times. I suspect if you talk to hagon’s they may well recommend a shorter piston rod.
