Magazine Galletto road test back in the 50's?

Any knowledge/photos would be greatly appreciated?
There is a mention in The Dead Sea Scrolls of one tested around the IOM but no detail!

If you’re in the VMCC, try their library. I found a contemporary road test for my Rudge there.

Thank you very much for the info, will definitely give it a go!
I’ve tried online but nothing is happening - it mentions office hours but is that also computer access time? Regards.

Well well Nick, thank you very much indeed!
I read a while ago that someone did a road test on the TT circuit and praised the torque which reduced gear changes! Now if i could see that article that is all I need - my intention is to replicate the test review on a Cockeral!
Best regards Hugh

There are a couple of paid people at the VMCC Library although I don’t know what their working hours are. From my limited knowledge, not much of the archives are available electronically so it’s probably a question of calling or emailing with your query. There are also some volunteers who pop in to help out, or members can visit and do their own research. I went over and found the Rudge stuff myself, but I’m only an hour away from Burton.

Thanks Ian, It’ll have to wait till i’m in the UK but knowing my luck, it’ll be a weekend!

This advert from The Motorcyclist in the 50’s may be of interest.

Certainly Don, just more of it would be the cream-on-the-cake!
The other article sent today was brilliant, nothing like genuine old reviews! I find, possibly through age, glib reviews cow-towing to manufacturers/editors/sponsors sometimes totally irrelevent!
Perhaps an old mac, a pipe, a 1950;s BBC accent and some techno genius could film me in mock sepia doing ‘The Latest Maxi Scooter’ for youtube, or possibly not!!!
