59 years old, Rocco was a single owner Galletto owned by a farmer in Mesagne, a town 10 miles outside Brindisi. My thanks to Moto Guzzi Club GB for helping me get Rocco a UK V5 after the Italian authorities recorded an error in its VIN number during the digital registration. Rocco is fully live and kicking in sunny Hertfordshire, hopefully will see out the next 40 years here. He runs like when he left the Mandello De Lario factory in 1966. Rocco is a 192CC electronic start Galletto, the last production model of the lot. He acquires his name after the farmer who owned him until the late 80’s. Since then in 2006 Rocco had a full restoration done in Stucci (Como) and spent 16 years in the farmers little room when his nephew decided to sell this legacy piece of history, I sweeped in and introduced Rocco to the pot holes of England
He looks fantastic. A friend of mine in the local Taverners VMCC section owns one, here it is alongside my little Stornello

That’s a fabulous picture😀 where do you guys meet up. Would love to join in sometime.
We are in Leicestershire, part of he Taverners Section of the VMCC. We hold an annual classic bike show at Stanford Hall near Lutterworth, this years show is on the 20th July. I doubt if I will have my Stornello there as I take my better half on pillion and a Stornello is not really up for 2 up riding!
It’s quite interesting to see a very late Galleto, the styling of the rear light has changed and the handlebar cowling is all very different. I see it has gained a more conventional rear shock.
Not sure I could ride to Lutterworth😆 might have to start a week or two early. Yes the last iteration had significant changes which made the bike quite slender and manageable. Love these little cockerels😁
