Mistral exhaust with db killer removed

I have fitted a pair of long cone mistral polished exhausts to my 2021 v850 special. Does anyone know if the ECU is clever enough to recalibrate the fuel ratio if i pull the db killers out of both exhausts or do I actually find someone to do a remap? if so any recommendations?

the lambda sensors are before the db killers so i think removing them will only have an effect on how fast the gas flows past the sensors, the speed at which the emu calculates the fuel mix based on exhaust sensor is so fast anyway it’s not going to matter.

the sensors only affect fuel mix once engine is up to working temperature and at low throttle openings anyway, e.g cruising at a continuous sensible speed, or urban riding.

I’ve removed cats on different fuel injected bikes, and on one i replaced it. never needed a remap in either situation with removal or refitting. one decatted exhaust was almost a straight through pipe with hardly anyhing inside as a baffle, so i modified it to reduce noise by adding stainless steel wool packing around the inner metal tube. bike ran fine with no adjustments. eventually i replaced this set up with a secondhand OEM exhaust with cat and it started up and ran just the same as with no cat or db killer , just a bit less acceleration and a lot less noise

my v85tt has a mistral with removeable db killer, i havent bothered removing it as it sounds good as it is.

Thank you for your reply. I will give it a go then. I was worried I could damage the engine if I took out the baffles because the exhausts came with a note that the bike would not need any alteration if the baffles were in place…

you can email mistral - info@mistralspecialparts.it - they reply fairly quickly and are very helpful, and they speak english.

i emailed them a few times with questions before i bought v boost, velocity stack, and the exhaust/decat pipe
