One slight issue fitting the Mistral frame plug kit today. A washer is supplied in the kit to allow clearance between the gear change lever and plug cap to be fitted.
When I torqued the gear lever bolt with the washer in place, the gear lever was really stiff. I repeated this twice but couldn’t see a solution to freeing the gear lever. In the end I discarded the washer and put the gear lever back to standard fitment. I fitted the cap and low and behold the gear lever clears the cap in standard trim.
There is a video of the fitment of this washer. One thing I think i might have spotted is the video shows a ( original fitment ) washer between gear lever and footrest hanger that almost looks like it’s recessed into the back of the gear lever where as my bike it’s surface mounted.
Super glue supplied in the kit, would recommend not using this. I fitted my caps dry, they seem to fit OK. If I was to use something to stick them in i would use a small amount of silicon, it’s removable. Super glue is not.
