New in NE - Anybody going GMG26? or Under 30!

Hi everyone,

I’m Oscar, 27 and based in Newcastle,

I got my first Guzzi, a V7, while I was still on my A2 licence. What I didn’t know at the time was that it had actually been customised by Moto Strada, so that was a nice surprise when I found out(Never knew Guzzis before so no clue the tank had been painted)

I’ve since moved up to a California 1400 Touring, which I absolutely love. It’s a completely different bike to the V7 but I really like the character of it.

I’ve also got into the adventure side of things a bit more. Last year I rode off-road with Mick Extance on a V85 TT at the ABR Festival, which was brilliant and has definitely made me want to do more of it.

I’m heading over to Italy for GMG 2026 as well next week.

Would be good to meet a few more Guzzi owners, especially anyone around Newcastle/the North East. Also interested to see if there’s anyone else on here around my age!

Hi Oscar. Have you registered with the factory. There is a post on here in the general section with a link whereby MG send you a QR code Link invitation. It’s Free but needed to access Museum etc.

Hi, Oscar, you dangerously push the bar of “average Guzzi rider age” down. Extremely little chance to find another one like you:) Well, you’ve made… mature choice! I bought my first tired V65 Polizia in the age of 23, and I quickly regretted that. (Un)fortunately, the bug stayed in and after a decade without Guzzi - came back to it and stayed ever since! May your relationship with the make be like road along Como lake - even if twisty, always leading to Mandello!
