Hello everyone. Andy here from South Notts. Bought a s/h Mandello S three weeks ago. Two years old, less than 2k miles. Back with a Guzzi after forty five years (last was a Spada in '81). Still have other bikes, but loved the look and engineering apparent in the Mandello when launched. Took me a while and the sale of a couple of bikes to convince myself, but after a thousand mile two up tour up in Scotland last week, I have to say I’m both impressed and pleased, so likely to be hanging in there. I’m aware that the bike can be problematic, but am pretty capable of sorting most things myself, without dealer assistance. Have to say the S’s suspension if far better than the base model I took out on a test ride three years ago…that didn’t convince me! Other than a two second rattle at start up and a slight intermittent rattle at tickover when hot (I’m guessing weak hydraulic cam chain tensioners) all is good.
The bike came with the ‘Low’ heated comfort seat. Think I’d prefer the Standard height seat if anyone is interested in a swap?
