If you want to suggest a place, time and date, that would be good. Being retired I can be quite flexible.

As I say, I don’t have a full licence yet, so would not be able to ride with you on my Breva, but I would be quite happy to join you on a ride which is appropriate to a 125. How far are you from Bourne?

I must admit to having a ride in mind, but I’m not at all sure that my little YBR , with an inexperienced rider, would be a suitable combination. To be honest, It would be an interesting ride for a reasonably powered bike, but for different reasons
Loved it in my Vitesse.

Hi, Eddie, sorry I haven’t replied before this. I’m sure that I can cope with the company of a 125 and now that we seem to be heading for more pleasant weather the offer still stands if you’re interested.

I will most certainly be interested, but am a little busy over the next month. On’e of the things I’m busy with is DAS training, so it might be that I have a full licence by the time we actually meet up.
Are you anywhere near Colsterworth?

Hi, Eddie, I live in Cottesmore, about 15 mins or so from Colsterworth, so not too far. I too have a fair bit going on but I’m sure we’ll make it. Best of luck with the training and test.
Pete.

you’ll know my favourite route to Melton then. It was fun in my Vitesse and I imagine it is just as much fun on a bike.

Indeed, one of my favourite short runs goes from home through Market Overton, Teigh Wymondham, Melton then back on the Market Harborough road to Tilton on the Hill where I go left back to Oakham.

My neck of the woods, I’m in Market Harborough.

It looks much straighter on a map than it feels. Am I correct in saying that Wymondham is pronounced pretty much as it is spelt in this case?

So far as I know, the one pronounced Windham is somewhere in East Anglia.

Yes, Norfolk. On the A11 I believe.

Test passed on Monday, so when we finally get around to it, I will be on the Breva.

Well done. Are you by any chance free on Monday? The weather forecast is good and I’m looking to go down to King’s Lynn on a day ride.

I’m afraid not. It would have been nice though.

That’s a shame but we can keep looking for an opportunity later on.

Well done on passing your test. I’m hoping to go to a small bikers night at a pub tomorrow and probably next Wednesday too if you are interested. I could meet you on the A47 somewhere and take you on a nice twisty route to the pub then get you onto the A1 for a swift run home if that appeals.

Congratulations Eddie. Well done. So on two wheels tomorrow night? Want to ride up together?

I’m afraid that I’m using the van again tomorrow, David. I’ve noticed that the rear tyre is seriously old and I’m not going to be riding it until the tyre has been changed, but next month would be nice. Do you live quite close to me then?

That sounds like a really nice Idea, Pete, but, as per my reply to guzzitano, I won’t be riding the bike until the tyre has been changed. Pencil me in for next Wednesday though. Where is the pub?
