I’ve just picked up this bad boy, which is my first Guzzi. It doesn’t run; no sparks (despite new electronic ignition) and low compression. Seems like a previous owner posted on here about 10 years ago with similar issues. It’s done 150 miles since 2015. It was cheap, but I may still lose my shirt 
. Any local members who know anything about old Guzzis?
Effectively it’s a baby V50, so searching V50 problems should help.
That looks good - you just need love and the knowledge of the owners on here - I had a V65TT - loved it !
Thats a great looking little bike. There was a very recent discussion about lack of spark on a V50. Go to the small block tonti technical page and you’ll soon find the discussion thread.
Thanks Steve. Not sure about “little” it’s massive and dwarfs everything else in the garage! I’m going to get the tank off and have a look at the weekend. Ordered a new battery in the meantime as it was knackered. It’s got something called a “Dyna S Ignition” on it.
This is probably the ignition system it has…..
Check for things like the kill switch, side stand cut out, clutch lever switch etc, although I doubt if it will have the last 2 items fitted.
I’ve got a V35TT as well, sitting in the garage waiting for some attention. Mine did run - but not very well (needed a carb rebuild judging by the puddle!)
It had to be put to one side for a while, but hopefully this year it will be back on the road.
They are big aren’t they - mines as tall as my V85
