New member, new bike

Hi everyone, new to the club and to owning a Guzzi. I would appreciate, any advice and guidance. I have just acquired a Moto Guzzi, TS250 Electronica 1976, but I know very little about them. Currently initially attempting an “oily rag”, functional resto, so I can ride it in the coming weeks. I’m struggling to find parts for it, in particular a gear shift lever. I live in Penrith, anyone up this end of the country, that can help.

Hi Grandpa_Mike,
I too am new; well, one month old now! I don’t have any guidance or advice, but I’ve been reading quite a few blogs here and the members have been very good and knowledgeable. I’m sure it won’t be long before you’re answered, but I just wanted to say “Hello” and Welcome to the club!

You may find that the gear lever is same as an old Benelli - parts are often used on multiple makes/models

Hi G_Mike,

I DID say the guys here are excellent!

Have you also tried:

They have also been good and may have the part you require.

Best wishes…

Good advice about DK, Brian, thanks. Yes the bike is almost identical to a Benelli, and Motobi versions. Indeed the Benelli 350GTS is the same bike with a four cylinder four stroke engine in it, instead of the 2 stroke.

Hi & welcome.
Keep an eye on ebay as a few parts crop up for the 250TS on their occasionally.
