Hi All.
Last week I bought a lovely blue 1980 V50 mk 2. The bike I bought when I first passed my bike test was - guess what … a lovely blue 1980 V50 mk 2 ! 
As an idiot 20 year old, the first one was written off, but I will take more care of this one!
Initial impressions are that my new bike is ‘a good one’ but definately needs attention in a few areas - Wooden front brake, rubbish rear shocks (and maybe forks), oil ontop of gear box, new tyres and a bloody good general going over in the winter. i will just ride it for now.
This should be my ‘keeper’ bike as my bike history is quite varied, and don’t even ask about cars and boats!
Happy to hear from other V50 owners or anyone in the New Forest ish area …
