Hi Folks, new member here. Got a new 2026 Mandello S that I’m looking forward to getting out on (currently unable due to injury). All good with the bike so far apart from me not being able to remove the seat for some reason. Looking forward to what the bike has to offer.

Just came across this and welcome to the club! Curious if you got the seat off and why that problem? Something up with the key unlock?

Thanks and thanks for responding to this. Nope, the passenger seat, which I need to remove first, still seems to be stuck . I turn the key fully to the right and nothing - no click or anything. I had the 2023 version of this bike and had no problems. The rear seat wobbles a little but seems stuck fast. I’ve looked in the usual places online for a solution, which tend to suggest to press down hard on the seat and pull up and backwards, but its still not budging. I’m taking it into a local dealer in a week or so for some other work to be completed and they’ll need to remove the seat in order to do it. Hopefully they can sort it.

Ahh tricky! You say the rear seat wobbles? That is suspicious as it should not at all. Sounds like the rear has been forced on/down misaligned and now jammed. If you had the 23 version can’t imagine it works any different so you know how simple it should be.

Wish I could be more insightful but I’d let the dealership mess with it simply in case something breaks then it ain’t your fault? What a complete pain!!

If it has been thus since the bike was supplied to you then whoever did pre delivery messed up!

Sorry to hear and hope they can solve it for you. Just getting at it will be the challenge.

Thanks for this. Yes, I’ll see how it goes when it goes in. Alas the dealership I bought the bike from didn’t supply a pre-delivery check list so I’m not sure if the necessary checks were done. I’ll ask the local dealer to give the bike a once over as well when they get it in. Thanks for your interest, I’ll let you know how it goes.
