New V85E5+ is thirsty!

Anybody here noticed that if you have had both bikes the latest V85tt Euro 5+ is thirstier than the previous E5 Model
I used to get 60 plus Mpg regularly on that bike. My new bike its doing 54 Mpg at best

fuel economy should improve as the engine wears in

My V100 Stelvio was doing 48mpg when it was new a year ago. After 13000 miles it manages 54mpg and I’m probably riding it harder now, with lots of full throttle overtakes.

My V85TT (e5) fuel economy improving slowly around 60mpg ragged hard on country A roads, less on motorways.

More power = more fun = more burnt fuel

Just a guess, but is the computer set up for US gallons? I used to doubt my Breva 1100’s figures until l realised what was going on.

I have a V85 Strada, 6 month and a little under 3000 miles. I’ve been logging the fuel/mileage scone new. Before the 900 mile 1st service the trip computer was typically mid to high 50s mpg (uk), but my calculations had it at low 60s. At the service I added various accessories. Currently, average of the last 5 times I have filled up, trip computer gives 54 mpg(uk) and my calcs 60.
