I have aquired a very lovely speedo from a Nuovo Falcone.
Any one know if it would work on a big block Tonti???
I think the answer is “possibly”. The gauges on big block Guzzis are not all the same. Some are calibrated to 140mph and some to 160 ( if I remember correctly ).
A picture would help, or failing that, a description of your speedo.
I’m talking b… rubbish again. Ignore my previous post. NF speedo’s are more lke the loop frame items, which I guess is what you’re askng, and I can’t answer.
I’ll get my coat.
I’ll take “possibly”
Too hot for a coat
My “Grease Monkey” who has both a NF and a big block Cali says:
The NF speedo is driven by the front wheal, which is 18". So as long as a respective speedo drive is installed it should work fine. Only problem he could see is the lower indicated speed range (the indication on the NF stops at 160km/h (100mph approx.)
Thanks for the info. The bike will be in Southern Greece where 100mph would be brave so not worried about max. Now to source a speedo drive…
The small block twins run a drive from the front (18") wheel. Downside is that they are made of cheese so finding a good one could be tricky.
Also it fits in the spacer stack for the spindle so you will need to be able to allow for that.
