Quick question for those wiring experts! Can someone confirm that the orange wires are connected together and are the 12v ignition feed and the black wires join to the blue/black & yellow/black?
I guess the coils need to be grounded to the frame to complete the low tension circuit?

This is an extract of my own wiring diagram for the V50II with standard electronic ignition. The wires do not match the colours you have given.
Hi Chris. It was the coils that confused me having black and orange wires. The wires in the loom match the diagram. I’ve decided to bin these old coils and have ordered new from Gutsibits so should be ok now thank you.
That looks like the coil from a honda CB250 k4 or G5
