I’m rebuilding a V1000 G5 engine and I need to replace the valves and guides in both heads. Has anyone used the cheaper valves and guides from Gutsibits or Stien Dinse and if so were they OK?
About a year ago I did the heads on my 1000s , reused the inlet valves got the exhaust valves, 4 guides and other bits+pieces from Gutsibits no problems.
Hardened seats were fitted by the cylinder head bloke👍
Thanks Phil. Wasn’t going to bother with the seats but it may be a good idea to do them anyway.
Pretty sure they have hardened seats from new because of US unleaded fuel
