Hi all… I’m wondering if anyone knows anything about swapping the original forks on a Nuovo Falcone for non Guzzi forks and yokes. I’ve read a number of articles about NF owners who have made this modification but found no details of the make of forks and other parts used.
There will no doubt be a number of Forks from various makers that would do the job, there aren’t that many variables at play.
It would be relatively easy to find a set of Fork Legs that will fit the NF Yokes, as all you really need to know is the Stanchion Diameter, and the overall length of the Legs (to the Axle).
If you’re looking to use the original NF Wheel, you’d almost certainly need to think about different Spacers for the Axle, and the relative sizes of the Axle (length and diameter primarily), and the inner diameter of the Bearings in the Wheel.
With jobs like this, sometimes you ‘luck-out’, and it all goes together fairly easily ,and others, it turns into a huge ‘can-of-worms’.
Best bet would to be a complete Front-End Swap; Wheel, Brakes, Forks and Yokes.
The only thing you have to worry about then is how the Steering Stem compares to the original, i.e. it’s overall length, and the Bearing mounting sizes.
There aren’t that many different sizes of Head Bearings, so I’d say that’s the easiest option.
Edit; Sorry, just noticed the date of the original post . . . did you get anything sorted?
