Nuovo Falcone restoration

Hi I’ve just bought an ex military Nuovo Falcone circa 1974 “project”.I’m already struggling to get parts. rubber bushes for shocks etc.Is there someone who has restored one who could give me some advice or point me in the right direction? :slightly_smiling_face:

Universal shock bushes can be bought of ebay, just measure the sizes and pick the ones right for you.
Search for Shock bushes and it will bring up loads of options.

Someone has produced a manual for the Nuovo Falcone available here

Hi Don Thanks for replying. I’ve managed to find a copy of the manual and its on its way. The shocks are Brev Sebac’s, bushes are in two halfs and differ from standard size bushes but I have ordered variuos ones that i might be able to modify, even going to try cutting down some kick start rubbers. Would be great if I could find someone who has been down this road before as i think this restoration is going to throw up a lot of challenges

Hi Mike, Uwe Pirner in Germany has a lot of stuff for the Nuovo Falcone.
I have dealt with him a couple of times and he is very helpful.
No shock rubbers, but here is his catalogue:

Hi Richard
Fantastic information! They seem to have all the bits I need. I bought the Falcone on a bit of a whim whilst buying spares for my marini, then started getting severe buyer’s regret when it seemed difficult to get info and parts. My plan is to do an “oily rag” restoration to start with just to get it on the road. I have to get it imported as it has been in UK for a while as a spares only bike. I’ll attach pic
again many thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
Your bike looks a lot like mine. Various shades of green.

I have not had mine long and I am working through a few issues. It starts, stops and runs ok, but is in need of a little attention.

Hi Richard
It seems mine is an ex police model which has passed in to civil ( or farm) use at some point. someone painted it a slightly darker green but did not key it so thats all flaking off to show original colour. Also I,m getting the feeling it’s a bit of a “bitsa” as I’ve found some parts are dark blue, also a police colour.the nearside chain adjuste is snaped, hence the saggy chain. Anywaay hours of fun ahaed I think
