If you have a compressor and it has a pressure guage you can use this.
I’ve recently used an airgun with a ball inflating nozzle pushed on it and crammed into the bottom of the valve. Set the pressure on the compressor and bobs your uncle.
FYI my valve didn’t work at all and as a result valves, guides and rocker faces were fubar’d. I think it was like it from new 18000 miles. I have fixed the valve by lapping it
Thanks Andrew,
I have been working on my bike today and I have come to the conclusion that it might not be this valve because I have pressure coming out of the breather pipe.
I think the problem I have is one of the ferrules on the oil feed pipe is leaking, I thought it might be pressure build up that was causing the leak, so I will get the pipe fitted with new ferrules and see if that stops it leaking.
Thanks for your help.

You may want to check the “Top Hat” breather valve. This maintains a steady pressure in the crankcase. If this is stuck open then the engine will pump air through the breather.
