Whilst returning from France on a 2024 V7 special after a week of riding around and doing about 700miles in warm/hot temperatures without any hickups the oil warning pressure warning came on briefly at low revs during in and after a very hot stop start in the passport que for about 20-30mins.Im hoping it is just over heating of oil because after it cooled down on the ferry the ride home of about 20miles was event free. Has anyone any ideas or have experienced anything similar. The oil was changed about a month ago on the last service and the oil level is fine .Hasn`t burnt any whilst away .
I’ve had that on my old Le-Mans in extreme hot weather in France, as you say the oil just gets very hot and thin so the system can’t build up much pressure.
Thank you for that it was just a bit worrying but the engine was very very hot ,and so was i lol.
I would keep an eye on it over the next few weeks when riding in slightly cooler temperatures and assuming the light stays off, then put it down to overheating in the extreme heat.
Thank you i have now done over a hundred miles and fingers crossed no light ,but i took the cover off of the sensor and did find wire slightly loose ,so now tightened and my eyes will be firmly on light for abit.
