Original LeMans Mk1 rear shock absorbers

Hello, I have a pair of shocks from a 1978 Le Mans 1. They are left over as I think they will be difficult to restore, and I have decided to put modern shocks on the bike.
They are in poor, perished and rusted condition.
Do people restore these? Are they still saleable, or should I just bin them?
Thanks, and when the bike is restored I will put some photos on the site.

Hi
Most people bin the old shocks nowadays. The modern technology is more comfortable and reliable.
BUT
I’m looking for a pair of original shocks for my V50 III
If anyone has a pair any condition considered
So there is a possibility someone may want the Le Mans ones.
Steve.

Recommend you post this in its own thread, Steve, in ‘Marketplace - Wanted parts etc’

Hi
Will do
thanks
Steve.

People like originality even if modern stuff is better, try advertising them, you may be surprised!

Will do, thanks.

Hi Steve, I would be interested in the shocks if you are thinking of binning them,
I have a 78 T3 Cali that I want to replace the shocks after restoring them.
I have devised a way of replacing the internals using Koni Dial a ride parts.

Roy, I have just advertised them in Marketplace for £50, and on Ebay for £60. I will see if there is a chance of getting something for them as this restoration is an expensive game.

I will look for them on ebay to get an idea of condition I’m afraid I don’t do facebook

Look in the marketplace here on the club site

I have found a pair of Paioli that need reconditioning on eBay.
If you have a pair to sell ebay is a good market place as well as the marketplace here and on facebook.
