Piaggio drops TLM as a Moto Guzzi Dealer

I guess that quote a few members have used TLM (Dutch dealer) in the past for Guzzi stuff.
So I was suprised, and saddened, to receive this email from them today.
It isn’t the first time that Piaggio has threatened to dump a dealer if they don’t take Aprilia as well - that has heppened in the UK.
Self imposed damage by Piaggio.

KLM was just as brutal with MV Agusta but that got resolved by MV buying back direct ownership.
It’s not easy being a dealer.

TLM & MOTO GUZZI

As some of you may have already heard, our dealer contract has not been renewed. Italy imposed an obligation to become an Aprilia dealer again — something we have experience with in the past (unsuccessfully) and which does not fit our focus. An exclusive Moto Guzzi dealership was not an option, which is why we have chosen to continue as an independent brand specialist. A role we have fulfilled successfully for many years. Little changes for you: you can still come to us for maintenance, repairs, and advice, with the service and passion you have come to expect from us.

I had a chat with them on my visit last May. This has been going on for a while. They were sourcing bikes from other Guzzi dealers. Still well worth a visit if you are over there. They have a great collection of old Guzzis.
