I had to remove the tank logo on my Audace to access the tank facia screw. Many people on other forums had reported cracking it.
This applies to the California 1400 and maybe other bikes.
Using a plastic car facia removal tool, these are the 2 points where you should start. Starting here pushes the 2 tabs out of the holding point. Then gently loosen the adhesive.
