Hi
Keith and I followed a route from Simon Weirs book it followed the N260 for most of the way along the Spanish Pryenees. You need to be prepared for miles of hairpins and sheerdrops etc but a smashing road with hardly any traffic, we went in Sept. ( I was pillion).
Only issue we had was the fact that the Spanish eat so very late in the evening.
Hi, have gone across France to Andorra in the past. Not sure if that’s your route. If it is, the tolls are expensive but a good way to get across France quickly. We did half toll roads and half B roads. Andorra fabulous and a great ride up into the mountains. As for accommodation, don’t go for cheap in the big cities. These are usually in the middle of industrial estates or really dodgy areas. Stay in smaller rural towns or pay a bit more for better hotels etc. it’s such a great trip though and you will have a fabulous time.
Thanks for the info

Sail to Santander/Bilboa and tie your visit in with one of the Colombres rallies. They will take you over many of the best routes in the Picos.
Stay in a sea view room at the Mirador de la Franca. Head East to the Med and come back via the Millau viaduct.
Millau bridge is impressive, (they slid the deck sections out from each side to meet in the middle I believe) and if you take the old roads down below you’ll find Millau is a nice little town if you’re looking to stay the night. The busy central area great for people watching.
Cheers - Millau Viaduct sounds good
Thank you - somebody else suggested the Millau Viaduct - think we will have a look.
