Rear suspension bafflement V7 III…!

Hello all,

Please forgive my naivety, but all my previous bikes ( from other marques) have had a ‘five step’ type adjustment on the rear shocks - easy to see and adjust. However my V7 III Stone (2020) has one collar above the spring and two collars beneath ( hopefully my uploaded photo - not my bike, but same appearance - will appear here to illustrate this!). I am quite small and light, and would like to soften the rear shocks a bit (with the added bonus that this may slightly reduce seat height when I sit on it).

Problem is, I haven’t a clue how to do this. My C spanner is ready & waiting, but I’m not sure which collar(s) to move etc. Thanks in anticipation of your advice.

If you want to soften the ride you need to back off the lower collar nuts , first release the lower nut which is the " locking " nut , then you can adjust the second . I suggest you take a measurement first from some fixed point [ so you know where you started from ] , then mark the upper of the two with a permanent marker pen , then turn it a couple of turns , relock the lower nut and give it a try ! Hope this of some help !
PS. make notes so you have a record of what you’e done !
