Has anyone installed a new map on a Breva 1200?
What where your results?
I’ve had one of Beetle’s Sport 1200 maps installed on my Breva 1100. It has resulted in a beautifully linear acceleration and strong torque. Fuel consumption is unchanged, maybe slightly improved. The bike has a Staintune muffler and Mistral crossover.
Thanks Mackers
I’m going to change the mapping soon. I have a mistral end can. I hate the popping.
Has yours stopped popping?
I’ve never had any popping in 11 years. I’ve always run on 98 RON.
I have used a couple of Beetle maps on my 1200 Sport.[running GPR silencer with Mistral 2 into 1] once with the normal cams and again with roller cams.
The maps are good but in my case the fuel consumption has dropped each time I have gone from standard to Beetle map. With standard cam Beetle map it certainly helped the weak running. the other thing I have noticed is the Beetle maps appears to run too rich in cold weather (around 0 to 5 degress C) I am planning to go to HillTop at somepoint and get the mapping sorted properly
regarding your overrun banging/crackling this can be adjusted using GuzziDiag
What/where is Hilltop, please?
I remapped with the beetle. Pulls stronger throughout the Rev range and more importantly it has cured the popping on the overrun. I’m getting about 10% better fuel consumption. Se what it’s like tomorrow when it’s somewhat cooler. Overall I’m pleased at the moment. Will see how it goes. Ps I’m on a 4valve
Hilltop is in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire - LE97DG
