Any advice on how to find a replacement ecu for my 2012 Griso 1200 SE?
It appears the part is discontinued. Are any other ecu’s compatible? I guess they wouldn’t be plug n play so would need to be remapped??
Any advice welcome
Thanks
Paul

I believe there are a couple of places that repair ECUs.
When you say you need a replacement, is it dead dead?
The ECU is the Magneto Marelli 5AM same as used in many Ducati e.g. 748. As they are less reliable there are more spare 5AMs from those bikes. Once you get a replacement youo will need to upload a map using Guzzi Diag and the Lonelec cables - you will find the information here https://www.grisoghetto.com/, Look for posts by ‘Beetle’ as he is the ecu expert and has written some very good maps.
Thanks Brian. Not dead. It in the dealers after a misfire issue on the left cylinder which has been fixed. But the technician says it still isn’t quite right and there is a hesitancy about the power delivery. I haven’t ridden it since dropping off as I am in South West Wales and nearest dealer is Gloucster.
But there is indications the unit has been messed with. Silicone under the rubber cap (atomospheric pressure sensor i think) and signs a screwdriver has been inserted. And some kind on grease in the terminal block with signs of corrosion on the pins.
That’s helpful thanks. I can follow that up.
I’ve just googled ecu repair and Motomatrix has come up. No idea if they are any good but I noticed that they appear to do Moto Guzzi.

May be worth call and wishing you all the very best.
Thanks very much will check them out.
