This guy sold me a set of relays over 5 yrs ago they have outlasted the OEM ones x2 a very nice guy and very helpful as this qn comes up now and again I have added info to the non OEM parts too.

I know there are other relays BUT some do have diodes in them and will damage YOUR Guzzi some DO NOT have resistors in them which is the cause of premature failure.

THESE work and are inexpensive enough to get spares to use as:-

Dip/main switch relays small enough to fit inside the headlamp

Fog spot relay …ditto above

These are the micro relays, not to be confused with standard ones, or the ones fitted to the CARC models.

Dan does have the specific information which is why I e-mailed him for his permission to post his Frequently asked questions link, which he gave happily.

wat are the best relays for a 1988 cali 3, pyro dans site only has them for 94 and newer bikes.

Halfords etc relays are fine.
30 amp generally and 40 amp for the starter relay, which will also need new terminals as the Guzzi origonal is wierd.

Should be a standard relay on a Cali III.
Maplin do them, as do most automotive outlets.Brian UK2013-01-08 19:24:21

On my Old bike I buy a 30A+ relay with a fuse included…juat about ALL automotive places have them as do Maplins and other outlets.
