Hello everyone. I am glad to be back in the fold. I have been a member previously when I owned my California Sport Special and then for a while when I bought my 2007 Moto Guzzi Norge back in August 2015. I live near Neath in South Wales. The Norge has run reliably until recently with one notable exception. That was back in the early days of ownership when the generator began to fail causing the need for it to be bump started down the middle of a Channel Tunnel train whilst returning from a day trip to France. I have spotted a post asking ‘What did you do with your Moto Guzzi today?’ Well in my case all I can do is think about it, because its stood outside not running properly. I shall be asking a technical question or two shortly because I want to continue owning/riding it indefinitely. Just like the California Sports Special I owned previously it has bags of character, handles everything the roads throw at it, is comfortable and is immense fun to ride. Its dry clutch has rattled since the day I bought it and the noise has never changed - Love it. The air intake roar is awesome and rather childishly I love opening the throttles in tunnels just to listen to the exhaust note bouncing off the tunnel walls. I owned a BMW K1200LT before the Guzzi, which you might think was a far better tourer. It had electric everything and was their attempt at a Goldwing. I would rather ride a zillion miles on the Norge because the BM was an ill handling top heavy lump! Here’s to solving the fault with my bike and getting to ride it again.
