August 21/23 2026 is a proposed weekend to hold a memorial to Russell MacCulloch Clink; that “treasured” component of the branch.
It would be a year after his untimely demise and a fine excuse for a get together, a run out and also an occasion to dissipate some alcohol in his honour.
Discussions with Cultybraggan camp are about to take place about format / facilities and this is essentially a cross post from an earlier one on mg-highland fb where a goodly few have indicated they would like to take part. If interested reply here and I’ll post here and on the FB groups - Highland and Scotland when more details are available.
Have been in touch with the Lothian & Borders Classic m/c club too. The vice chair, who was Russells best man and obviously a good friend of his is going to put the word on the streets about the event. Several of them attended the funeral however I didn’t have time to say hallo to them on the day unfortunately.
Not been to an event for a looong time, but think I need to get one of the bikes on the road for this one. Looks like a nice location. Limited accommodation, so camping it will have to be.
